INDUSTRIES — NUCLEAR & ENERGY
Nuclear & Energy
Immigration counsel grounded in firsthand nuclear reactor operations, radiological controls, and the technical disciplines that define the nuclear workforce.
INDUSTRY OVERVIEW
A Technically Demanding Workforce
The nuclear energy sector employs some of the most highly credentialed technical workers in the U.S. economy — reactor operators, nuclear engineers, health physicists, radiological controls technicians, and systems analysts whose roles are defined by extremely specific technical qualifications. Immigration petitions for these workers must demonstrate that the foreign national’s credentials, training, and prior experience genuinely meet those standards.
Generic specialty occupation descriptions do not hold up in this sector. USCIS adjudicators reviewing nuclear engineering petitions expect petitions that accurately characterize the role — its technical scope, the theoretical knowledge it requires, and how the beneficiary’s background maps to that scope. Getting that wrong invites an RFE or denial.
